A space for helmet safety and traumatic brain injury awareness. My memoir titled, "Mere's Message" is releasing soon. Along with exploring my recovery journey, this book offers coping mechanisms, helmet tips, and modifications for the disabled.
- On average, injuries including traumatic brain injuries take the lives of 155 people a day in the US alone.
- Roughly 2.9 million people suffer a traumatic brain injury a year in the US.
- Traumatic brain injury can affect balance, motor functioning, memory, mood, emotions, speech, and sense of taste and smell.
- No two brain injuries are alike. They range from mild to severe and affect people in different ways.
- You should ALWAYS seek help if you have reason to believe you've suffered a concussion.
